Here is the first of many outfit of the days you will see here on the stylish kat! Today I wanted to go with a neutral look that was still chic and not drab.

Shirt: The oatmeal colored lace shirt that I am wearing actually came from a local boutique. However, the brand is Piacere Di Piu if that means anything to you! I bought it for around $30.

Cardigan: My white and oatmeal striped cardigan is from old navy and this was the first piece I grabbed for when creating this outfit...and I assembled it from there! I paid $20 for it.

Monogram necklace: My necklace was a birthday gift from my boyfriend! You can order them from etsy stores.

Shoes: My nude flats are from a company called lower east side and I bought them at payless shoes in the mall for $15 (which was a steal for the adorable and versatile shoes!)

Purse: My bag is by steve madden and I bought it at my local Ross. I bought it around Christmas time and I'm so happy it's finally spring...aka when it's acceptable to carry a nude purse!

Mint capris: I originally had planned to wear this outfit with my mint capris to give the outfit a pop of color, however, it was colder this morning than I expected so I changed into my light wash skinnies at the last second! These mint capris are from Kohls and I got them for around $20.

Light wash skinny jeans: Just your standard pair of skinny jeans! These ones actually fit me though (this is hard to find when I am so thin and tall!!) I found these at wet seal last year on my spring break trip and they were on sale!! I got them for $20!

I hope you guys enjoyed my outfit of the day! Keep checking back for more of my style posts!
Until next time,
Krista

Welcome to my new style blog! I have always had a passion for all things that make up style. This blog will be a place for me to share my take on style with the rest of the world. I will be posting things like styling inspiration, make up ideas, monthly favorites, outfit of the days, clothing and make up hauls, great deals that I find, items I am lusting after, and even a bit about my personal life here and there too!
A little about me: I am currently a senior in high school (graduation is just around the corner--eep!!) and I plan to attend college in the fall to pursue a marketing major. My ultimate career goal is to become an event planner, more specifically, a wedding planner. I love bridal, and I feel as though one wedding day wouldn't be enough for me. I also love to make other people happy...and seeing as how your wedding day is the happiest day of your life, becoming a wedding planner sounds like a no-brainer to me. I have a boyfriend who I have been with for over 2 years and he plays a major part in my life...we're going to college together next year! The name of this blog comes from one of my nicknames...Kat...it's my brother's nickname for me...and of course I love style...so "The stylish kat" seemed fitting.
If I were to describe my style in three words, they would be: trendy, chic, and girly. Through this blog, I hope to push myself to take fashion risks (hopefully successful ones!) and expand the horizons of my style. So please, follow me on my journey and watch as my style evolves. And in the great words of Yves Saint Laurent, "Fashions fade, style is eternal."
Until next time,
Krista
